D&D Custom Steel Products Ltd. is looking for a CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Operator to join our team.
This position will primarily involve machining of medium to large precision components. The machining process, tooling, setup and CNC programs are already established. The candidate must be capable of independently operating the machine, performing in-process inspections, and making the necessary tool offset and minor program adjustments to consistently maintain part quality.

Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Horizontal Boring Mills independently
- Run established CNC programs and machining processes
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
- Perform pre-machining and in-process inspections
- Accurately use precision measuring equipment to verify part dimensions
- Monitor machining operations, tooling and part quality
- Make tool offset adjustments based on in-process inspection results
- Make minor adjustments to CNC programs at the machine control when required
- Identify tool wear and process variation and make appropriate corrections
- Maintain consistent quality on high-precision components
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous CNC machining experience required
- Experience operating CNC Horizontal Boring Mills is strongly preferred
- Experience machining medium to large precision components or castings is preferred
- Experience with Fanuc CNC controls
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensional tolerances
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and bore gauges
- Must be capable of working independently and maintaining part quality throughout the machining process
