Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to provide essential care and assistance to individuals with disabilities. Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients in participating in community activities, outings, and recreational programs
- Administer medications as prescribed, following proper protocols and documentation procedures
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals
- Use effective communication techniques, including American Sign Language if applicable, to facilitate understanding and engagement
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to supervisors or healthcare professionals
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support
Skills
- Experience or training in special education or caregiving roles involving individuals with disabilities
- Proficiency in communication skills, including the ability to adapt messaging for diverse needs
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to work empathetically with individuals with varying abilities and behavioral challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
- Reliable, patient, and attentive to detail in all aspects of care delivery

Pay: $20.50-$23.50 per hour
