Staff Plus is recruiting a Licensed Millwright (433A) for a well-established manufacturing company in Aylmer, ON. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering $43.45/hour, comprehensive benefits, RRSP, profit sharing, a tool allowance, and a consistent weekday day shift.
The successful candidate will join the maintenance team and be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing machinery and equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient production.
Location: Aylmer, ON
Pay Rate: $43.45 per hour
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm
- Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
What You'll Do:
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose equipment problems, identify root causes, and complete effective repairs.
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs as required.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Respond to maintenance requests and production equipment issues.
- Perform minor electrical repairs and installations as required.
- Complete lockout procedures safely during equipment maintenance and repair.
- Use maintenance systems to document repair requests, completed work, inspections, and equipment status.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, production, and other departments to coordinate priorities.
- Safely work at heights and use material-handling equipment such as cranes and slings where required.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Millwright licence required.
- 3-5 years of Millwright experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience maintaining and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Welding experience.
- Ability to safely complete lockout procedures.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Knowledge of cranes, slings, and material-handling techniques.
- Strong commitment to workplace and equipment safety.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a maintenance team.
