What the job entails…
We are looking for a enthusiastic, efficient, strong, Tint Technician able to perform a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities include, tinting and mixing orders in a wide variety of coatings including paint, epoxies, wood coatings, etc. Checking and organizing all orders at all times to ensure accuracy of orders before they leave the store. Carrying out orders to customers for pickup and delivery. When time permits, assist with cleaning and organizing work areas, as well as assist with putting stock away in the warehouse. Comfortable moving around large orders of paint (skids as well as individual gallon and pails). Working well in a team setting, being in communication at all times. Comfortable, learning and following processes to ensure accuracy of orders.
Ultimately, a successful Tint Technician will have a great attitude, excellent attention to detail, impeccable communication skills when dealing with customers, teammates and vendors and comfortable lifting and moving heavy objects.
As a Tint Technician/Paint Expert you will …
- Tint, mix, and colour match paint, stains and architectural coatings
- Check all orders for quality assurance
- Manage incoming orders by phone, email and in person
- Assist with receiving product and stocking warehouse shelves
- Maintain tint/check/pickup areas in a neat and organized manner
- Maintain all work areas: sweep, cut rags, wipe down counters
- Monitor stock levels in warehouse and communicate when stock levels appear low
A few general technical requirements for all candidates …
- 1-3 years experience with customer service focus
- Post Secondary Degree or College Diploma is preferred
- Able to work in a collaborative work environment
- Able to lift up to 60 pounds comfortably
- Have an aptitude for colour and colour properties
- Great intercommunication skills (telephone, face to face)
- Friendly, respectful, energetic and punctual
- Comfortable working independently as well as in a team setting
- Comfortable multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with various computer programs such as word and excel, and open to learning about new point of sale programs
- Comfortable working with numbers and measurements, especially for custom formulas
