Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team on a full-time or part-time basis. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of goods through accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting e-commerce, warehouse distribution, and order fulfillment processes.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments by inspecting, verifying, and documenting deliveries using warehouse management systems such as MRPs and AS400.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately for delivery or storage.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently using equipment such as reach trucks and forklifts, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper order picking and stock management.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to facilitate movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper packaging of products for shipment to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain stock accuracy.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas and ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Follow safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP software, and AS400 is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or order pickers is highly desirable; certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes and packaging techniques is beneficial.
- Basic math skills are necessary for order accuracy and inventory counts.
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or order fulfillment roles will be considered an asset.
This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
Pay: $41.00-$43.00 per hour
