Our current opening is for a CMM Operator
Duration: Full Time Shift Work (40-44 hours per week; must be flexible)
Pay: Hourly, Bi- weekly, OT after 44 hours
Reports To: Plant Manager (1 Source Design)
CMM Operator Job Duties:
DIMENSIONALLY CHECK ALL STEEL
-using CMM along with PcDmis software
-using PC and supporting software used by plant
-using the ultrasonic thickness gauge, verniers, calipers, micrometers, etc., to inspect any dimension required
INSPECT ALL OUTGOING/INCOKING MOLDS/COMPONENTS
-supplying a report of all items pertaining to the molds
-other checks- such as water, hydraulics, features
DOCUMENTATION FOR ALL CHECKS
-all checks to be reported and filed away for future reference
-all reports to be logged into JobShare for easy retrieval
-all reports to have a plot with the program for easy explanation
OTHER
-work with ftp sites from customers and ourselves (DropBox, FIleZilla)
-handle large, multiple files and tracking/logging them
-must pay careful attention to detail while completing all documentation
-learn new software for translating/CAD (3-4 programs)
CMM Operator Skills and Qualifications:
-must have completed Grade 12 or higher
-Mold Making background an asset
-must be computer literate, as well as, be open to learning new applications, etc.
-must be well organized and detail orientated
-must have the ability to multitask in a busy environment
-must be open to communicating with customers, our engineers, our CAD Department, etc. (all around good communication skills)
-must work well in a team environment, as well as, independently
-familiarity with Microsoft Office, etc., an asset
-must be able to problem solve
Authorities:
Has the authority to make and follow through with decisions required completing daily tasks in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
