Position Summary
C2C is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Structural Engineering team in British Columbia. In this role, you will be both a technical leader and a people leader — setting direction on complex structural projects, mentoring engineers and EITs, supporting business development, and ensuring our deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, code compliance, and constructability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers, EITs, and technologists in the BC office
- Oversee structural design, analysis, and documentation for industrial, commercial, and institutional projects
- Act as Engineer of Record and seal/sign structural drawings, calculations, and reports
- Review and approve technical work, calculations, and Schedules B & C-B for BC projects
- Manage project budgets, schedules, resourcing, and client communication
- Support proposal preparation, scope definition, and fee estimation for structural and multidisciplinary pursuits
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and sub-consultants throughout design and construction
- Champion quality control, internal standards, and continuous improvement of design processes
- Contribute to the professional development of staff through coaching, performance reviews, and training plans
- Represent C2C with clients, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), and industry associations
Qualifications & Experience
- P.Eng. licensed and in good standing with EGBC (Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia)
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s an asset)
- 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management capacity
- Strong working knowledge of the BC Building Code, NBC, CSA standards (S16, A23.3, O86), and applicable bylaws
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams from concept through construction administration
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, S-FRAME, RISA, RAM, SAFI, or equivalent)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and client expectations
Nice to Have
- Experience with industrial racking, pre-engineered buildings, or tilt-up construction
- Familiarity with seismic retrofit and existing-building assessments in BC
- Struct.Eng. designation
- Experience supporting business development and client relationship management

Pay: $110,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
