Position: P&D Driver
Location: Surrey B.C.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 17:00, Weekends as required
Roles & Responsibilities:·
- This is a Permanent position with no less than 40 hours per week
- Cover Vacations/Sick Days/Overflow, with the possibility of a full-time position in the future
- If there is no driving work, there might be warehouse work available
- Use pulse scanner for all required activities on the daily route; all scannable waybills, laser waybills, and shipper’s own bar-coded labels must be scanned
- Delivery of all assigned material in the route area, within the specific requirements of both customer and Canpar Express Inc.
- Ability & willingness to drive in rural areas, inclement weather, winter conditions
- Pick up all assigned customer pick-ups within the specific guidelines of Customers and Canpar Express Inc.
- Compile and submit accurate route records daily
Accountabilities/Results
- Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction
- Professional representation of Canpar Express Inc. at all times, including the maintenance and presentation of vehicles, uniform, etc.
- On-time pick-up and delivery of customer shipments
- Interact effectively with other members of the customer service and operation teams
Qualifications:
- Excelled area knowledge
- Ability to operate commercial equipment
- Class 5 Driver’s License (required) with clean drivers abstract with maximum 3 infraction points allowed
- Be able to safely operate a 5ton, ¾ ton van or Gruman (Step Side).
- Criminal record check & Reference check is required for this position

- Previous delivery experience
- Warehouse experience (an asset, but not required)
