Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Relief Pharmacist to join our healthcare team, providing essential pharmacy services during daytime hours from 9am to 5pm for a virtual pharmacy. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced pharmacists to support patient care across various healthcare settings. The Relief Pharmacist will ensure accurate medication dispensing, patient counseling, and adherence to safety protocols, contributing to optimal health outcomes. Candidates should possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with doctor’s orders and pharmacy policies
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness
- Maintain detailed and organized pharmacy records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions or address medication-related questions
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of pharmaceuticals
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and documenting medication supplies
- Support the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care during scheduled hours
Skills
- Prior retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and regulatory compliance standards
- Ability to adapt quickly to different healthcare environments and multitask efficiently
- OCP Lisenced pharmacist in Good Standing
