Day Host Responsibilities:
o Works closely with Managers on reservation & staffing levels prior to and during service
o Maximizes restaurant seating through thoughtful planning & seating rotation – taking into account Guest preferences & group sizes
o Prepares host desk & dining areas for service daily
o Answers phones, assists Guests with reservations or inquiries
o Sets the tone of great service with each Guest interaction both in person & over the phone
o Learns & communicates Guest names & preferences to provide superior individualized service
o Monitors table availability and plans future seating assignments during service periods
o Operates a waitlist when no seats are immediately available
o Communicates with Servers & Managers providing seamless service
o Takes every opportunity to create Moments of Truth
o Maintains cleanliness of front desk and entryway throughout shift
o Facilitates Gift Card sales & take-out orders
o Performs daily/weekly cleaning & maintenance duties
Day Host Qualifications:
o Must have Monday-Friday daytime availability
o You get excited about making someone's day
o You are able to work nights, weekends & holidays, in a part or full-time capacity
o You have minimum 1 year of previous Host experience.
o You are comfortable working with computers and may have experience with Open Table
o You are professional and have strong leadership & communication skills
o You thrive in a fast-paced environment & are able to work on your feet for extended periods
o You have strong organization & time management skills
o You take initiative & you never turn your head from a standard
o You may have your Smart Serve certification (would be an asset)
o You are able to make a minimum one (1) year commitment to our team
o You may be interested in growth opportunities
