We’re Looking for You!
If you’re an experienced, compassionate tutor who wants to make a real difference, we want you to join our team! We are currently hiring in-person tutors in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, and Calgary to help students in the following subject areas:
Immediate Needs:
- Elementary (K-6): English, Math, Social Studies, Science, French, and French Immersion
- Junior High (7-9): English, Math, Social Studies, Science, French, and French Immersion
- High School (10-12): English, Math, Social Studies, Sciences, French, and French Immersion
What We’re Looking For:
- Passionate Certified Educators: Certified tutor, Enthusiastic, patient, and compassionate individuals who genuinely care about student success.
- Qualifications: University student, graduate, certified teacher, retired teacher, or subject specialist.
- Experience: Minimum 1-year of tutoring or teaching experience is an asset, but not required.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the Alberta K-12 curriculum. Experience with ADHD or special needs students is also highly valued.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage students, communicate effectively with parents, and collaborate with classroom teachers when necessary.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation for in-home tutoring (car or other travel options).
- Background Check: Willingness to undergo an up-to-date background check.
Your Role Includes:
- Providing academic support based on your expertise.
- Offering supplemental weekly assignments and bi-weekly testing to enhance students' understanding.
- Checking students’ work for accuracy and guiding them to proper execution.
- Engaging with parents to discuss student progress and goals.
- Using Mobile Tutors' Client Management System and Online Tutoring Platform to track and manage sessions.
