Highbury Park Dental is a busy, family-oriented dental clinic in the heart of Barrhaven. Our team is known for delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive, well-organized environment. We are looking for a reliable, experienced Chairside Dental Assistant to join us full-time and grow with our practice long term.
Schedule (Full-Time)
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
No Sundays or Mondays.
What You'll Do
- Assist the dentist chairside during restorative, surgical, endodontic and cosmetic procedures
- Provide four-handed dentistry with strong suction, retraction, and instrument transfer
- Prepare and set up operatories, instruments, and materials for each appointment
- Take and process digital radiographs (HARP certification required)
- Take intraoral scans and impressions as needed
- Maintain strict IPAC standards, including instrument sterilization and operatory turnover
- Keep accurate clinical notes and update patient charts in the software
- Support smooth patient flow, restocking, and daily clinic operations
What We're Looking For
- Certified Dental Assistant (Level II preferred) or equivalent training
- HARP certification (required to take radiographs in Ontario)
- Strong four-handed dentistry skills and quick chairside instincts
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to a full-time, long-term role
- Warm, patient-focused manner and excellent communication
- Comfortable with digital dentistry (intraoral scanners, digital X-rays)
- Previous experience in a general dental practice is a strong asset
- French an asset but not required
