Oenomel Chocolate is a Vancouver-based artisan chocolate company creating handcrafted, ethically sourced chocolates inspired by botanicals, teas, spices, and local ingredients. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Farmers' Market Sales Associate to represent our brand at local markets throughout Metro Vancouver.
Responsibilities
- Set up and take down our market booth and displays.
- Welcome customers and provide exceptional customer service.
- Share the story behind Oenomel Chocolate and confidently recommend products.
- Process sales using Square POS and handle cash transactions.
- Maintain an attractive, clean, and organized booth throughout the market.
- Restock products and keep inventory organized.
- Help load and unload market equipment and products.
- Ensure products are handled carefully, especially during warm weather.
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with customers.
- Valid BC driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving a company vehicle or your own vehicle to and from markets.
- Having access to a reliable vehicle is a strong asset.
- Able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and assist with booth setup and teardown.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Previous retail, hospitality, food service, or farmers' market experience is an asset but not required.
Schedule
- Part-time, primarily weekends, with occasional weekday evening markets.
- Flexible seasonal schedule (May–December).
- Typical shifts are 6–10 hours depending on the market.
