Job Overview
The Insurance Case Coordinator provides support to Financial Services Representatives and is responsible for coordinating and processing New Business and Inforce Insurance requests, ensuring all cases are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and insurance carrier requirements. This role serves as a liaison among Advisors, Insurance Carriers, and internal departments to provide exceptional service and ensure timely case completion.
Duties and responsibilities
New Business
- Review and process new insurance applications and related documents.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of application forms and supporting documentation.
- Track new business cases throughout their life cycle, from submission to policy issuance, and follow up on outstanding requirements or issues that may result in approval delays.
- Review new business documentation to ensure completeness and adherence to company procedures and insurance carrier requirements prior to submission.
- Periodically review current processes to ensure effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in resolving issues that may delay policy approval or issuance.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation within the company's systems.
- Understand, support, and contribute to the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Inforce Business
- Process policy service requests, such as beneficiary changes, ownership changes, address updates, premium changes, and other policy servicing requests.
- Coordinate policy reinstatements, withdrawals, surrenders, loans, and other inforce transactions.
- Follow up with insurance carriers to ensure service requests are completed in a timely manner.
- Respond to inquiries from Advisors regarding policy status and servicing matters.
- Maintain accurate records of all inforce transactions and communications.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative/ operations role in the insurance industry is an asset
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Possess strong leadership and self-motivation
- Easily adaptable to change
- Strong multi-tasker with a high level of accountability
- Customer-oriented and professional
- Fluent in English, Mandarin/Cantonese fluency is an asset.
