Position Overview
The Customer Experience Specialist supports operational excellence across the retail fuel and convenience network by leading merchandising initiatives, executing site resets, coordinating new site openings, training store teams, and ensuring consistent delivery of brand, operational, and compliance standards. This role is critical in driving sales performance, strengthening the customer experience, and ensuring network-wide alignment with corporate programs and procedures. The ideal candidate brings a positive, enthusiastic energy and a strong “can‑do” attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead execution of and merchandising initiatives, including resets, layouts, and planograms
- Coordinate on-site teams and vendors to deliver timely, low-disruption execution
- Partner with merchandising and category managers to align store layouts with brand and sales goals
- Support new and renovated store openings, ensuring operational readiness
- Deliver consistent network-wide programs and promotions with strong in-store execution
- Train and support store teams on merchandising standards and operational processes
- Develop simple and effective tools to drive consistency across all locations
- Visit store locations to ensure merchandising and promotion is consistent and well executed
- Support forecasting activities under the direction of senior analysts
- Identify opportunities and implement improvements to enhance the overall customer experience
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher
- 5 years of experience in a retail environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of planograms
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Experience with business analysis and report writing is required
- Regular travel to site locations required
