About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep of our hotel and associated facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and well-presented environment for both guests and team members. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a dynamic, service-focused environment.
What You’ll Do

Perform general maintenance and repairs across the hotel, restaurant, and related facilities

Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues in a timely and professional manner

Complete preventative maintenance tasks to support the ongoing condition of the property

Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and completed tasks

Support the upkeep of systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and basic IT equipment

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company policies

Assist with contractor coordination and oversee work as required

Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in an organized and safe condition

Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs
What We’re Looking For
-
Minimum 2 years of maintenance or facilities experience
-
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)

Experience using hand and power tools safely
-
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance
-
High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification is an asset

Legally entitled to work in Canada
Additional experience that would be considered an asset:
-
Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment
-
HVAC experience or certification
-
5+ years of maintenance experience
-
Leadership or mentoring experience
Working Conditions

Fast-paced environment with a mix of scheduled and on-demand maintenance work

Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks

Schedule may include evenings, weekends, or on-call support based on operational needs
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Ability to perform physically active, hands-on work throughout the shift
