Position Summary
The Warehouse Light Duty Associate is responsible for accurately placing incoming inventory into designated warehouse locations using handheld scanning devices. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and adherence to warehouse procedures to ensure efficient storage and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize PDA scanner to scan and place items onto warehouse shelves in the Putaway Department.
- Ensure accurate scanning and placement of products according to warehouse standards.
- Adhere to speed and efficiency requirements to meet productivity goals.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail during the putaway process.
- Safely maneuver and transport items throughout the warehouse.
- Organize and arrange products on shelves to optimize space utilization.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and complete daily putaway assignments.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Keep work area clean and organized to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Familiarity with using PDA scanners for inventory management is an asset.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while performing job duties.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift/move moderate-weight items.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work additional hours or shifts as needed.
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
