AREA COORDINATOR - TEMPORARY FULL-TIME

We are seeking a very motivated, outgoing, punctual and responsible person to represent our company in a professional manner and to support Presenters that provide School Bus Safety presentations for children JK to grade 8 in the Elementary schools.
The Area Coordinator is responsible for training and coordination of Presenter staff (approximately 6 – 8 people).
Intertrain Incorporated is the premier provider of all in-school, School Bus Safety programs for Elementary Schools across Ontario. Since 2003 we have been providing our programs to school boards across Ontario. We work hard to develop top-notch programs and provide schools with a hassle-free, fun experience.
Area Coordinator duties:
- Training of Presenters. Be present for Presenters’ first 2 days of presentations for support.
- Audit Presenters to ensure programs are performed correctly by attending sessions and submit evaluations.
- Be available 24/7 for Presenters, in case of an emergency and need to fill in.
- Primary hours of contact activity from your Presenters are between 6:30am – 8:30am and 12:00pm – 2:00pm. Early mornings can be busy to check for school cancellations or receiving calls/texts from Presenters or Operations Coordinators. Early afternoons can be busy to receive calls/texts from Presenters regarding their afternoon (PM) school issues.
- Replace (Fill-in) for Presenters when they are absent. * Can be last minute same day coverage. Will need to drive to the Presenter’s home to pick up their equipment and fill in at the school(s).
- Provide vacancy coverage due to absence or Presenter termination. * Can be up to 1-2 weeks.
- Provide daily/weekly reports to Operations Coordinators.
- Liaise with Presenters as their 1st point of contact.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to provide constructive criticism and enforce the company’s Policies and Procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Troubleshoot and operate audio/video equipment problems.
- All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience.
- Training experience.
- Ability to perform our School Bus Safety presentations in front of a live audience as needed.
- MUST be able to read and speak English fluently.
- Experience working with children and large groups.
- Highly motivated.
- Valid Driver's License (minimum G2).
- Own reliable vehicle - large enough to fit our equipment. A full set of equipment can fit into a Toyota Corolla but in most cases, the ACO will need to carry only half the equipment when filling in for a Presenter.
- Provide a clean criminal check (Police Vulnerable Sector Report (VSR)).
- Good physical health, ability to lift up to 60+ lbs and transport heavy equipment up and down stairs.
Typical day is roughly between 6:30 am and 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Job Type: Full time Temporary Contract - Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months (approximately)
Pay: $174.23 per day
