Licensed HVAC Service Technician (G2/G1)

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing a wide range of heating, cooling, ventilation, and gas-fired equipment in both residential and commercial environments.
Responsibilities:
Service & Installations
Perform scheduled maintenance inspections on HVAC and gas-fired equipment.
Conduct system performance testing, combustion analysis, and safety inspections.
Complete detailed maintenance reports and communicate findings to customers.
Installation & Commissioning
Install and commission residential and commercial HVAC equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
Follow all company safety policies and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
Ensure compliance with TSSA requirements and applicable gas codes.
Complete all required documentation, service records, and quality assurance reports.
Participate in company training and quality assurance initiatives.
Customer Service
Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers.
Clearly explain repairs, maintenance recommendations, and equipment operation.
Qualifications Required:
Valid G2 Gas Technician Licence (G1 considered a strong asset).
Valid ODP Certification.
Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
Minimum 3 years of HVAC service and troubleshooting experience.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to use mobile devices and digital work order systems.
Preferred:
313D Residential Air Conditioning Mechanic Licence.
313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Licence.
Experience with commercial rooftop units, boilers, and hydronic systems.
Experience with heat pumps and high-efficiency HVAC equipment.
Knowledge of building automation and control systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
Forced-air heating systems
Heat pumps and ductless mini-split systems
Air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Hydronic heating systems
Gas piping and gas appliance servicing
Electrical troubleshooting and control circuits
