Responsibilities and Duties
- Receive, inspect, and stock organic fruits and vegetables on the sales floor, maintaining optimal freshness and quality.
- Process produce deliveries and warehouse orders
- Arrange products in an attractive and organized manner, ensuring that all products are rotated on a first-in, first-out basis.
- Greet customers warmly, offer assistance and answer questions about organic produce.
- Regularly check for damaged or spoiled items, promptly removing them from the display to maintain high-quality standards and minimize waste.
- Monitor inventory levels of produce, keeping track of sales and restocking items as needed to ensure there is an adequate supply of fresh organic produce available at all times.
- Stay informed about organic produce trends, certifications, and industry developments to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas, display cases, and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Ensure merchandising and labeling of products, coordinating with the merchandising team to update any changes or promotions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend twist, and work standing for 8 hour shifts
- Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude are essential
