Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic supply chain team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing purchasing activities, optimizing procurement processes, and supporting manufacturing operations. Duties
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services.
- Utilize SAP, ERP systems, and MRP software to track inventory levels, monitor demand forecasts, and execute purchase orders.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials aligned with production schedules.
- Support demand planning activities by analyzing consumption data and forecasting future needs.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste within the supply chain.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation for audit purposes.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to understand material requirements and resolve supply issues promptly.
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Skills
- Proven experience in procurement within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, MRP software, and demand planning tools.
- Familiarity with purchasing strategies, negotiations, and supplier management.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application in procurement processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and negotiating with suppliers.
- Ability to analyze data to inform decision-making and improve procurement efficiency.
