Webuild is seeking a Construction Senior Scheduler for the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations (PTUS) Project on the Ontario Line (Metrolinx) in Toronto. Reporting administratively to the Schedule Manager, the Senior Scheduler plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the time and sequence delivery of the project's critical-path construction works, including Cosburn Station, Mechanical and Electrical (MEP) works, and System Assurance and Test & Commissioning.
Job Duties:
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the time and sequence delivery of the PTUS critical-path construction works, Cosburn Station, MEP, and Test & Commissioning, from baseline development through commissioning
- Prepare resource- and manhour-loaded schedule forecasts and time-cost impact valuations supporting prolongation, extension-of-time, and change-impact positions, and feed cost-to-complete and budget forecasting; monitor cost and earned-value performance through scheduling-dashboard reporting
- Track and control project performance against the accepted baseline using critical-path and float analysis, productivity forecasting, and earned-schedule variance reporting; trigger and lead recovery action on adverse trends
- Evaluate the schedule and time impact of contract changes, extension-of-time claims, and interface-milestone agreements in accordance with contract terms; prepare the schedule and time-impact basis of the joint venture's contractual change and claim positions and the Planning & Reporting provisions of subcontract agreements
- Develop and implement the project's schedule quality-control program, defining methodology, logic, and submission standards; audit internal and subcontractor schedule deliverables for compliance and enforce corrective revisions
- Represent the joint venture on schedule and progress matters for critical-path activities in formal meetings with subcontractors, Metrolinx, and other project stakeholders
- Produce and submit period progress schedules, schedule narratives, critical-path and earned-schedule analyses, and performance reports to Metrolinx in line with contract reporting obligations
- Identify required procurement start timing for each work package from the construction sequence and critical-path requirements, and advise the Procurement Manager accordingly
- Direct and supervise the schedule-production activities of subcontractor planning staff and internal discipline-team members across civil, MEP, systems, and Test & Commissioning scopes, assigning standards, reviewing and approving deliverables, and enforcing corrective action
Work experience:
- Minimum 8 years of progressive construction scheduling and project controls experience on large-scale infrastructure, rail, or industrial projects[KV1]
- Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6
- Experience preparing and defending schedule baselines, time-impact analyses, and extension-of-time claims under FIDIC or comparable contract frameworks
- Experience directing or supervising scheduling/planning staff on major projects
