Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by following recipes and maintaining cleanliness standards to ensure safe and efficient kitchen operations
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing customer orders and payments
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and providing correct change
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and upselling popular products to enhance sales
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and cleanliness protocols
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks such as assembling ingredients, stocking supplies, and ensuring food quality
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of service and food quality
Experience
- Prior food service experience or restaurant background preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar technology is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry is a plus
- Strong math skills for cash handling, making change, and basic inventory counts
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales is beneficial
