The Coordinator, Prince George Medical Affairs is responsible for ensuring effective and timely functioning of key Prince George and UHNBC medical administrative processes and programs, supervising medical administrative staff, coordinating financial planning and reporting processes, and providing administrative support to the Prince George Medical Director and UHNBC Chief of Staff.
Starting salary will be approximately from $63,484 to $79,355 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
- Diploma in Business and/or Office Administration plus five (5) to seven (7) years progressive related work experience, with a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with staff, Medical Staff and the general public in an effective and professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit tact, discretion and confidentiality when dealing with medical staff and patient/client information. Ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to anticipate work requirements and organize workload.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, organize and complete work projects without supervision given established priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced word processing skills and the ability to type 60 w.p.m.
- Demonstrated physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook and the use of database applications.
- Demonstrated ability to operate related office equipment.
