Ophthalmic Technician – Full Time
We are looking for a Full-Time Ophthalmic Technician to join our busy, growing ophthalmology practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Recording comprehensive patient histories
- Performing and documenting visual acuities, colour vision, autorefraction, keratometry (automated and manual), manifest refractions and other testing as required
- Operating ophthalmic equipment including VF, OCT, IOL Master, topographer, autorefractor, lensometer, Tono-Pen and pachymeter
- Accurately documenting findings in our EMR - Accuro
- Taking pre- and post-operative photographs
- Maintaining and cleaning technician rooms and areas as well as monitoring supplies
- Occasionally assist with reprocessing surgical instruments
- Taking on other duties as required to support the team
Education
- High School diploma
- SAIT curse certification will be an asset.
- JCAHPO certification will be an asset.
Experience:
- Previous Ophthalmology/Optometry experience is preferred.
