Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Technician to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction-related tasks, with proficiency in handling various hand tools and reading blueprints. This role involves installing, repairing, and restoring windows in residential and commercial properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. A background in carpentry, schematics reading, caulking, and other related skills is highly desirable. Duties
- Install, replace, and repair windows on residential and commercial buildings with precision and attention to detail
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, saws, and caulking guns to complete projects efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Perform restoration work on existing window frames, including sanding, painting, and sealing
- Apply caulking to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing of window units
- Assist with related construction tasks such as carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, welding, and construction painting as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining safety standards
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials after each project
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or restoration work; experience specifically with window installation is preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions accurately
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and sealing methods for weatherproofing
- Familiarity with carpentry, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, or related trades is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites
