We need an ER Clerk to join our Emergency Department team! You want to be part of our Emergency Department because it's one of the most dynamic areas in the hospital, it's where patient journeys often begin, and it's powered by collaboration and problem-solving. In this role you will get to help coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers, play a key role in keeping patient flow moving smoothly and much more!

- At this time this opportunity is scheduled 12-hour shifts
As the successful applicant, you will do the following:
- Register patients using the Meditech computer system & entering data accurately
- Perform all clerical duties related to admission, discharge, transfers, etc.
- Acquire required information and payment methods for visits
- Complete requisitions for diagnostic testing, schedules tests & appointments and arrange for ambulances as necessary
- Operate switchboard after hours as requested
What You’ll Bring
Required

Previous clerical experience in the health care field
- Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
- Proficient computer and typing skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume acute care environment
Preferred
- Medical Office Administration course
