We are looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier / Sales Associate to join our team and help us continue our commitment to providing an exceptional duty-free shopping experience.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Lead Retail Sales Supervisor, the Cashier / Sales Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional sales and customer service while accurately and efficiently processing transactions in a fast-paced retail environment.
You will welcome customers, assist with product inquiries and recommendations, process sales, returns and exchanges, maintain merchandise presentation, and ensure the checkout area is clean and organized. You will also be responsible for following company policies, duty-free regulations, and cash-handling procedures.
The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a customer-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product, pricing, promotion, and item-location inquiries.
- Provide knowledgeable product recommendations and information.
- Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally.
- Support sales goals by creating a positive and engaging customer experience.
Transaction Processing & Cash Handling
- Accurately scan merchandise, verify prices and quantities, and process payments using the POS system.
- Provide accurate receipts and follow procedures for coupons, gift cards, promotions, and our loyalty program.
- Process refunds and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Balance both USD and CAD cash trays to the required $100 balance.
- Ensure debit and credit slips are properly organized and place the required balance in brown envelopes.
- Handle cash and financial transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Manage currency conversions for customer transactions, ensuring accurate exchange rates and pricing.
Merchandising & Store Operations
- Ensure merchandise is fully stocked, properly priced and labeled, and attractively presented.
- Ensure merchandise complies with applicable duty-free requirements.
- Bag and wrap purchases to ensure safe transport.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout and work area.
- Follow all store policies, duty-free requirements, and regulations relating to restricted merchandise, including alcohol and tobacco.
- Contribute ideas and solutions that improve customer experience, employee engagement, productivity, and sales results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of customer service and retail sales experience preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of cash-handling experience required.
- Experience using a POS system required.
- Experience with FINTRAC, currency exchange, and cash handling is an asset.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be available to work the midnight shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).
- Valid police clearance required.
- Must be comfortable working overnights, holidays, weekdays, and weekends as required.
