Position Overview:
Manitoba Hydro is seeking a Corporate Compensation Advisor to join our team and support the development, implementation,
administration, and modernization of compensation structures, job architecture, job evaluation systems, salary administration
practices, market benchmarking, and related Total Rewards policies and programs
This role offers a rare opportunity to be directly involved in modernizing compensation practices. You will help shape the future of
our job architecture, salary structures, and evaluation frameworks—ensuring they are aligned with market trends, internal equity,
and organizational needs, which will have a visible and lasting impact across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, job
architecture, and Total Rewards practices.
- Conduct market benchmarking, compensation analysis, and internal relativity reviews to provide data-driven
recommendations.
- Contribute to enterprise compensation modernization initiatives, including pay structures, job frameworks, and governance
practices.
- Conduct job evaluation and classification activities using established methodologies to ensure consistent, transparent, and
defensible outcomes.
- Provide expert advice and consultation to HR, leaders, and stakeholders on compensation, job evaluation, internal equity, and
market competitiveness.
- Develop and deliver insights, reporting, and materials (e.g., dashboards, costing, briefings) to support decision-making and
continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Commerce and five years of related experience or a combination of education
and experience. A related professional designation, such as CPHR or CCP, is considered an asset.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, proven ability to build relationships and provide trusted advice along with strong
communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and use data to develop actionable recommendations.
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $44.75-$61.75 Hourly,
$85,745.40-$118,316.64 Annually.
