Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Swimming Pool Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of swimming pools through regular maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, landscaping, and construction, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors and contribute to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for pool users.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and chemical balancing of swimming pools to maintain water quality standards
- Inspect and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Conduct landscape maintenance around pool areas, including gardening, irrigation, and horticultural tasks
- Assist with construction or renovation projects related to pool facilities as needed
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for pool repairs or installations when required
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience with mechanical systems, pool maintenance, or construction is preferred
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, and irrigation systems is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance practices
- Experience operating excavators or other heavy machinery is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction and outdoor work environments
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
