Calgary Menopause Wellness is seeking an experienced Licensed Psychologist (RPsych) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) to join our dedicated team in supporting women through peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
At our clinic, we optimize women’s health during the menopausal transition at any age. Our mission is to empower patients through individualized, integrated care, utilizing tools employed by Medical Doctors and allied health professionals including, but not limited to, Naturopathic Doctors, Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, etc.
The candidate is to provide counselling and support for the emotional and psychological effects of menopausal transition and life stage changes.
Job Description
As a RPsych/RSW, you will provide counselling and mental health support to women experiencing the emotional and psychological effects of perimenopause and menopause. You will provide in-person or virtual counselling services to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment & treatment planning, including setting goals, evaluating client needs, and conducting mental health assessments
- Client support and education, including providing resources and coping strategies
- Case consultation and collaboration with other clinic practitioners as needed
- Provide individual counselling and support to women navigating perimenopause and menopause
- Support clients experiencing mood changes, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, identity shifts, and life transitions
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health practitioners within an integrated care model
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation
- Provide education, coping strategies, and referrals as appropriate
- Practice in accordance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Maintain an up-to-date malpractice/professional insurance
Professional Standards:
You must comply with the Health Professions Act and the standards of practice, practice guidelines, and code of ethics of the College of Alberta Psychologists and/or the Alberta College of Social Workers, and any pertinent organizations that your role is affiliated with.
Being a member or a certified practitioner of The Menopause Society is an asset.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field
- You must be a Registered/Licensed Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
We are specifically seeking clinicians with interest or experience in women’s health, perimenopause, menopause, or hormonal mental health.
- Experience in mental health, women’s health, trauma-informed care, or life transitions preferred
- Knowledge of perimenopause and menopause-related mental health concerns
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Expected hours: 16-24 hrs per week
