Established in 1966, Garritano Bros Ltd is a respected Ontario General Contractor specializing in Institutional, Commercial, Design-Build and Construction Management projects.
We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to join our team for the accelerated completion of a major institutional construction project in Toronto.
This is a fast-paced opportunity to take ownership of the remaining exterior civil and landscape works and help drive the project to completion.
Project Assignment
Location: Toronto
Duration: Approximately July through September 2026
The remaining work consists primarily of exterior civil construction, site servicing, concrete, asphalt, landscape construction and municipal coordination. The successful candidate will work alongside our Senior Site Superintendent to help fast-track the final phase of construction.
There may be opportunities for future assignments based on company workload and performance.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will coordinate and supervise the remaining exterior construction activities, including:
- Daily supervision of civil, concrete and landscape subcontractors.
- Review civil engineering and landscape drawings.
- Verify grades, elevations and layout.
- Monitor installation of:
- Exterior concrete
- Sidewalks
- Curbs
- Asphalt paving
- Unit pavers
- Retaining walls
- Fencing
- Landscape works
- Planting
- Site furnishings
- Coordinate testing and inspection agencies.
- Verify compliance with municipal standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate survey layout and grade verification.
- Monitor quality control and workmanship.
- Maintain daily site reports and documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractor sequencing to maintain an accelerated construction schedule.
- Identify deficiencies and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain a safe, organized and productive construction site.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess experience in:
- Civil construction supervision.
- Municipal road and sidewalk construction.
- Concrete construction.
- Asphalt paving.
- Grading and drainage.
- Site servicing.
- Reading and interpreting civil engineering drawings.
- Landscape construction.
- Survey layout and elevations.
- Quality control.
- Construction scheduling.
- Subcontractor coordination.
Applicants should have:
- Minimum 5 years of site supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating multiple trades.
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Contract Position – Approximately 3 Months (July to September 2026)
Immediate Start
Pay: $688.00-$1,752.74 per week
