Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team for steady afternoon shift. We offer afternoon shift premium.
This shift runs: 3:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. (-/+)
Operators required for the following machines:
- Press Brake Operator(s)
- Band Saw Operator(s)
- Laser Operator
- Shear Operator
- Drill Press Operator
- Machine Operator Floater
- Metal Machine Operator(s)
- Prep Shop Lead
Job Duties:
- Operate metal cutting machines with precision.
- Loading raw materials into machines and unloading finished products.
- Monitoring machine operations to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Measuring and inspecting finished parts using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Adjusting machine settings to maintain quality and production standards.
- Replacing worn tools, cutting bits, and machine components as needed.
- Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Identifying and reporting machine malfunctions or production issues.
- Following workplace safety procedures and wearing required protective equipment.
- Recording production data, quality checks, and maintenance activities.
- Set up and program machines, including programming and calibration.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and blueprint reading skills to ensure accurate machining and assembly.
- Moving materials and finished products using hoists, cranes, or forklifts (where certified).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety regulations.

Required Skills:
- MUST BE ABLE TO USE TYPE MEASURE
- Proficiency in operating and programming a major asset
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in machining, blueprint reading, and using hand tools.
- Ability to perform quality inspections accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Experience with forklift operation and crane handling is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality standards and inspection techniques to ensure product excellence.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during the afternoon shift with minimal supervision.
