Overview
Fire Ridge Transport is looking for experienced Class 1 drivers to operate side dump trailers on earthworks and civil construction projects in the Grande Prairie area. This is a local role: drivers return home at the end of each shift. We prefer candidates already living in or near Grande Prairie. The work is consistent, the pay structure is strong when trucks are running, and we run a team that takes its work seriously.
What We Are Looking For
- Valid Class 1A licence (Alberta)
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working in the Alberta oil patch (required); backgrounds in log trucking or tanker work on oilfield roads are considered an asset
- Valid H2S Alive certification
- Ground Disturbance Level II certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Standard First Aid with CPR (current)
- Clean driving abstract: no DUIs, distracted driving convictions, or major infractions
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Comfortable working extended shifts and in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Familiarity with ELD systems and Alberta provincial hours of service requirements (NSC Standard 9)
