Event Centre is seeking an experienced and creative Prep Cook / Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team.
Starting at $25/hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef with daily food preparation
- Prepare, wash, cut, and assemble fresh salads and ingredients
- Create and maintain attractive salad displays and presentation stations
- Prepare fruit platters, grazing tables, and charcuterie boards
- Ensure food is presented to a high visual standard suitable for banquet and event service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of banquet hall or event catering experience
- Strong knife skills and food preparation experience
- An eye for artistic food presentation and detail
- Experience creating salad displays, fruit platters, and charcuterie boards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
