Duties
- Consult with clients to understand their desired hair styles and recommend suitable treatments
- Perform hair cutting, coloring, styling, and chemical treatments with precision and professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas and tools in accordance with health regulations
- Upsell additional salon services and retail products to enhance client experience and salon revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a friendly and relaxing atmosphere for clients
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the salon environment
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Proficiency in various hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and chemical treatments
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff
- Effective communication skills to understand client needs and explain treatment options clearly
- Ability to upsell salon services and retail products confidently without being pushy
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a professional appearance and attitude
