Job Summary
We’re looking for our next Back of House Hero; someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in a job well done, and understands that true magic often happens where no one is looking. This is the heartbeat of our event days: the one who ensures our guests are sipping from sparkling glassware, the space is clean and ready to shine, and the venue runs seamlessly from "I do" to the last dance.
This isn’t just a “dishwashing” gig. It’s a hands-on, team-driven, essential role for anyone who loves weddings, is energized by hustle, and wants to be part of something special.
Duties
- Dishwashing Duties: Clean and sanitize dishes, cutlery, and small wares with care and speed
- Bar Support: Bussing and washing glassware, polishing to perfection, keeping bar areas clean and stocked
- Venue Cleanliness: Regular washroom checks, sweeping, mopping, and general tidying to maintain our luxury-level standards
- Garbage Removal: Staying on top of receptacles throughout the event, bag changes, and clean-up post-event
- End-of-Night Flip: Help our event team tear down and reset tables and chairs (must be comfortable with heavy lifting)
- Team Spirit: Work closely with our event and bar teams to keep things running smoothly from behind the curtain
Additional:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are sanitized.
- Handle food items safely and according to health regulations to prevent contamination.
- Support bartenders by providing necessary ingredients and supplies during event
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes to uphold hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working in the kitchen environment.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with event staff.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities within the kitchen setting.
Candidate Must:
- Reliable: With consistent and independent transportation to and from our venue
- Detail-Oriented: The kind of person who notices the little things (because that’s what sets us apart)
- Physically Capable: Able to lift tables/chairs (up to ~50 lbs) and be on your feet for extended periods
- Fast & Focused: You love a fast-paced environment and can keep calm under pressure
