Job Overview
The Inside Sales Lead is responsible for managing inbound sales opportunities, qualifying and distributing leads, growing house account revenue, supporting sales forecasting activities, and providing first-line technical sales support. The role serves as the primary point of contact for CTI's growth-tier channel partners, helping drive partner engagement, administering the partner registration program, and supporting partner success initiatives.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Support, this individual ensures opportunities are properly qualified, assigned, tracked, and advanced through the sales process while maintaining strong relationships with customers and channel partners.

Responsibilities
Lead Management & Qualification
- Own and manage all inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, trade shows, distribution partners, website inquiries, and direct customer contact.
- Qualify opportunities based on customer requirements, application fit, project scope, timing, budget, and revenue potential.
- Assign qualified opportunities to the appropriate salesperson, channel partner, or business unit.
- Monitor lead progression and ensure timely follow-up and closure.
- Maintain lead response, conversion, and pipeline metrics.
House Account Management
- Manage assigned house accounts and smaller revenue customers not assigned to an outside sales representative.
- Develop customer relationships to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and new project opportunities.
- Conduct regular customer outreach and account reviews.
Partner Success & Program Administration
- Serve as the primary internal contact for CTI's growth-tier channel partners generating less than $1M in annual revenue.
- Build productive relationships that increase partner engagement, loyalty, and revenue generation.
- Support partners with product inquiries, opportunity development, quoting assistance, and sales coordination.
- Administer CTI's partner registration program, including opportunity registration review, approval, tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate with Account Managers and sales leadership to address channel conflicts and opportunity ownership.
- Support partner onboarding, enablement, training, and communication initiatives.
- Monitor partner performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Maintain accurate partner records and activity tracking within CRM systems.
Sales Operations Support
- Support sales opportunity management and CRM hygiene.
- Assist with quote follow-up and opportunity advancement.
- Coordinate order-related customer communications and internal activities after purchase order receipt.
- Work closely with manufacturing, finance, engineering, and customer support to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Maintain pricing, customer, and opportunity information within CRM.
- Note: This position supports order management activities but is not responsible for order entry or transactional order processing.
Forecasting & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate opportunity and forecast data within CRM systems.
- Assist sales leadership with monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting activities.
- Identify pipeline risks and opportunities.
- Generate reports and performance metrics to support business planning and decision-making.
Technical Sales Support Forecasting & Pipeline Management
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of CTI products, solutions, and target markets.
- Provide first-level technical sales support to customers and partners.
- Assist with product selection, basic system configuration, and application-based recommendations.
- Develop deeper expertise in designated product families to support selected second-level technical inquiries.
- Escalate advanced technical issues to Product Management or Engineering as appropriate.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered
- 5+ years of experience in inside sales, technical sale, sales operation, account management, channel support, or related roles.
- Experience supporting B2B customers in technology, industrial, electronics, robotics, embedded computing, or related industries preferred
- CRM experience required; experience with Salesforce preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholder, and follow-up actions
- Comfortable discussing product specifications, configurations, and application fit with customers and partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, sales reporting, and forecasting tools.
