Position Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced, compassionate, and enthusiastic person to join our team. If you love working with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds—and enjoy educating and empowering pet parents—you might be the perfect fit!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee opening/closing procedures and daily schedule
- Manage dog group rotations, playgroups, and rest times
- Ensure safe dog handling and proper supervision at all times
- Coordinate feeding, medication, and special care instructions
- Monitor facility cleanliness (kennels, play areas, equipment)
- Train new hires on dog handling, safety, and protocols
- Coach team on reading dog behavior and preventing conflicts
- Speak with pet parents about their dog’s behavior and progress
- Handle concerns, complaints, or special requests professionally
- Help increase daycare attendance (upsell packages, programs)
- Support marketing efforts (reviews, social media content)
- Answer incoming calls promptly with a friendly, professional tone
- Provide accurate information about services, pricing, availability, and policies
- Assist with bookings, cancellations, and schedule changes
- Actively supervise playgroups to ensure safety and proper interactions
- Help with dog handling, transitions, and group rotations
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in doggy day care
- Strong understanding of positive reinforcement and fear-free methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, reliability, and a love for all dogs
