Duties
- Design, develop, and analyze mechanical components and systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo
- Create detailed schematics, drawings, and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical controls, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and LabVIEW-based systems
- Develop system layouts and perform drafting tasks to support product development cycles
- Utilize data analysis, simulation, and validation of mechanical designs
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of prototypes or existing systems to improve performance and reliability
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate design concepts effectively
Skills
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and other drafting tools
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with schematics development for electrical-mechanical integration
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately
- Understanding of mechanical systems design, including stress analysis, tolerances, and material selection
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to engineering challenges
