Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are stocked.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix .
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently to optimize office operations.
- Support pediatric patients with a friendly demeanor to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Stay updated on dental practices and technologies, including CAD for restorative procedures and orthodontics.
- Ortho and Sedation Module considered an Asset. Will help to obtain these modules
Skills
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques with hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix, or similar systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of Dental terminology related to dentistry and oral health practices.
- Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
