ACE Community College is seeking a qualified Green Energy Installer Instructor to deliver approximately 30 hours of instruction within our PTIRU-approved Green Energy Installer Training Program.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trades professional who is passionate about renewable energy and enjoys mentoring future skilled trades workers.
About the Program
The Green Energy Installer Training Program is a 180-hour, 6-week full-time program that prepares students for entry-level careers in the renewable energy sector through classroom and hands-on practical training.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical instruction.
- Demonstrate safe use of tools and equipment.
- Supervise hands-on training activities.
- Evaluate student progress and maintain attendance records.
- Promote a safe and positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy, electrical construction, or a related skilled trade.
- Knowledge of solar PV, EV charging, battery storage, or sustainable building technologies.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Previous teaching experience is an asset.
Preferred:
- Red Seal Electrician or equivalent trade certification.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
