Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a hospital setting. The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care, managing medication therapy, and educating patients and healthcare professionals on medication-related issues.
Duties
- Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
- Dispense medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy for patients.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication regimens as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions.
- Stay current with medical terminology and advancements in pharmacotherapy.
- Participate in acute care settings, providing specialized services in pediatrics when needed.
- Educate staff and patients on best practices for medication management.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in a hospital setting is preferred, particularly in acute care or pediatrics.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and education.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
