Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a solid understanding of food handling and safety practices. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, preferably Micros POS.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, adhering to sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, following food safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong background in food service and hospitality.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with POS systems is advantageous; familiarity with Micros POS is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
