Lead Field Technician – Concrete Lifting
$30.00–$35.00 per hour | Full-Time Seasonal | Immediate Start
Sherwood Park / Edmonton Area | Approximately 11–12 Weeks
Looking for solid full-time work for the next three months?
CR Concrete Lifting is looking for an experienced, mechanically inclined Lead Field Technician to join our team immediately for the remainder of our 2026 operating season, running through approximately mid-November.
Maybe you're between projects, recently finished a contract, coming out of the oilfield or trades, or simply looking for a solid opportunity for the next few months.
We're less concerned about whether you've worked in concrete lifting before and more interested in how you work.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems, works confidently with tools and equipment, communicates professionally with customers, and takes pride in doing quality work.
Concrete lifting experience is not required. We provide paid training.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Lead Field Technician, you'll work as part of a two- to three-person crew completing residential and commercial concrete lifting projects throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area.
Our technicians rotate between leading and supporting depending on the project and responsibilities that day. You won't be the only person expected to lead, but you must be comfortable stepping up, making decisions, and taking ownership when it's your turn.
You'll:
- Learn to lift and stabilize settled concrete using specialized polyurethane injection equipment.
- Work with specialized tools, trucks, pumps, hoses, compressors, and equipment.
- Learn to assess concrete conditions and execute the appropriate lifting approach using CR's processes and standards.
- Troubleshoot problems and think through solutions when conditions change on site.
- Communicate directly and professionally with homeowners and commercial customers.
- Help coordinate safe, efficient jobsite execution.
- Maintain clean and organized trucks, tools, equipment, and jobsites.
- Complete project documentation accurately.
- Take responsibility for making sure your equipment, inventory, and work area are ready for the next project.
- Contribute ideas and identify opportunities to improve how we work.
Who We're Looking For
You may come from construction, automotive, equipment service, industrial maintenance, oilfield, millwright work, utilities, landscaping, foundation work, or another hands-on environment.
The perfect résumé matters less to us than demonstrating the right experience, attitude, and behaviours.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools and equipment.
- Enjoys troubleshooting and figuring out how things work.
- Has experience in a hands-on construction, trades, mechanical, industrial, maintenance, or similar environment.
- Has experience communicating directly with customers, clients, or other external stakeholders.
- Has experience leading, mentoring, training, or taking responsibility for others.
- Takes ownership rather than waiting for someone else to solve problems.
- Shows up consistently and keeps their commitments.
- Takes pride in producing quality work.
- Can work independently without needing constant supervision.
- Communicates professionally with customers and teammates.
- Is organized and takes care of company trucks, tools, equipment, and inventory.
- Is comfortable performing physical outdoor work.
- Wants to learn, improve, and contribute to a growing company.
You do not need to have held the title of Foreman or Crew Lead.
You do need to demonstrate that you're someone others can rely on and that you're comfortable taking responsibility when needed.
What Makes Someone Successful Here?
This may be an 11–12 week opportunity, but we're not looking for temporary-job effort.
We're looking for someone who notices when something needs to be done and takes action.
Someone who sees a problem and starts thinking about solutions.
Someone who takes care of the truck, tools, and equipment without needing to be chased.
Someone who can walk onto a customer's property, communicate professionally, and leave them confident they hired the right company.
Someone who can lead when needed and support their teammates when someone else is leading.
We can teach you how to lift concrete.
We're looking for the person who brings the ownership, reliability, mechanical aptitude, professionalism, and work ethic to become great at it.
What We Offer
- $30.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Full-time work starting immediately through approximately mid-November.
- Paid training in a specialized trade.
- Modern equipment and well-maintained company trucks.
- A small, supportive team that takes pride in doing quality work.
- The opportunity to develop new technical skills.
- The chance to contribute to a growing Alberta company.
If it's a strong fit for both you and CR Concrete Lifting, there may also be an opportunity to return for our 2027 operating season.
