Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal, Assistant, and Real Estate Assistant to support our legal team and real estate operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to corporate legal matters, real estate transactions, and administrative functions within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, drafting, and project management skills, along with excellent communication and organizational abilities. This position is essential for ensuring efficient legal processes and smooth business, corporate, and real estate activities across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist with research from Canlii , PPSA, Court Services Online, Land Title and Corporate Searches as well as GST, Trademark or Bankruptcies, BC Online
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and correspondence with precision
- Support corporate governance activities including preparing filings and maintaining compliance documentation - familiarity with Ecorp or othr corporate management softward is essential.
- Conduct interviews and gather pertinent information for business, corporate, legal or real estate projects
- Perform data entry related to legal cases, property transactions, and client records
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones
- Handle clerical tasks such as filing, document organization, and maintaining accurate records
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, vendors, or external partners
- Assist with real estate transactions by preparing necessary documentation and tracking deadlines
- Invoicing Clients and following up on outstanding accounts
- Prepare closing documents for conveyancing and financing transactions (primarily residential with some commercial)
- Facilitate the completion of conveyancing and financing transactions (i.e. exchange of closing documents, correspondences with the other side, handling logistics of closing, preparing reporting letter to other side/client)
- Perform initial review of documents and agreements
- Perform Land Title filings/registrations
- Skills
- Proven experience in administrative support within a legal or real estate setting
- Strong proofreading, writing, and legal drafting skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective project management capabilities to meet deadlines efficiently
- Experience conducting interviews and gathering relevant information for case preparation
- Cantonese, and Mandarin language fluency
- Data entry accuracy and clerical experience including filing and record keeping
- Strong attention to detail in proofreading and document review processes
- Professional phone etiquette with excellent communication skills

Pay: $57,129.24-$75,000.00 per year
