Job Purpose
· Responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assists the Quality Assurance Manager in the day to day activities of the quality department
· Development, implementation, maintenance and enforcement of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
· Set standards and monitor procedures to ensure food safety at all stages of the operation including receiving, packaging and shipping
· Assist in the development, maintenance and enforcement of all Quality/food safety programs
· Oversee all production lines from a quality point of view
· Supervise and instruct all Line leaders on daily basis
· Acting Quality Assurance Manager when Quality Assurance Manager is not on site or available by phone
· Review all documentation for accuracy
· Supervise and inspire quality inspectors
· Ensure customer specifications are followed and all related information is updated correctly in customer folders
· Ensure food safety protocols are followed on the production floor
· Oversee employees follow GMP and train for any deviation observed
· Lab analysis for sanitation and allergen control
· Manage deviation and corrective actions for HACCP Program
· Training: on all Quality SOP’s, HACCP, GMP, Allergens, Food Security, Warehouse sanitation, Audit training, WHMIS
· Perform other activities as directed by Quality Manager
Required Skills/Experience
· College Diploma in Quality Control Required
· Must be able to write and communicate in English
· 2-5 years in the food processing industry
· HACCP experience and GMP experience
· Food safety experience
. Peanut Free and or pharmaceutical experience and asset
· Research capabilities, develop and use of documents
· Oral communication, problem solving
· Calculations and data analysis
