Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator & Programmer to join our team in Hamilton, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components according to detailed engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for production runs based on technical blueprints and CAD/CAM models.
Perform machine setups, tooling changes, workholding adjustments, and material loading.
Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently, monitoring parts during production to ensure precise tolerances.
Inspect finished parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) against engineering drawings.
Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain a safe, organized shop floor environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in CNC operating and programming.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and manual programming or CAD/CAM software.
Tool & Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and standard machine shop tools.
Attributes: High attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and solid problem-solving skills.
