Hexcel Construction is looking for an experienced, motivated and flexible dump truck operator. The position consists of transporting and delivering construction materials to and from various sites and material suppliers.
The position requires a high knowledge of the current Lower Mainland truck routes as well as the knowledge and ability to load and transport a variety of construction materials with a dump truck and pony.
The daily duties of the position would include:
- Daily pre-trip vehicle inspections
- Operating a dump truck (and pony) to and from sites in the lower mainland
- Operating a dump truck (and pony) in and around construction sites
- Picking up materials from suppliers
- Moving construction equipment (if necessary)
.This position requires the following experience and/or qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience operating a dump truck.
- A valid Class 1 License with an Air Ticket
- A clean drivers abstract
- Strong organizational capabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Equipment transport knowledge would be an asset
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset
The position offers competitive pay at $34.00 per hour along with 12% holiday pay, health and dental coverage, life and long term disability coverage and RRSP matching.
