WHAT'S THE JOB?
Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a
Junior BIM Technician to join our passionate, talented team to participate in an exciting mix of local and not-so-local projects. This role is based in
Vancouver, BC.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Develop structural design drawings and 3D models according to Aspect’s project quality standards
- Execute BIM projects of all sizes
- Prepare design submissions and other technical documents
- Be proficient with Revit model and drawing production
- Be proficient in family and parameter management and development
- Perform detailed drafting under the mentorship of the senior team members
- Contribute to the team’s technical knowledge resources
- Collaborate with team members across other offices in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Contribute to a fun and welcoming work environment.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- 0 to 3+ years of experience in a similar position with a background in commercial, residential and/or institutional projects.
- Technical degree/diploma/certificate from a related program
- Strong skills in reading, interpreting, and producing structural engineering plans and details
- Strong Revit skills, including family modification, model, and parameter management
- A keen eye for aesthetics and an appreciation for clear and well-coordinated drawings
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently, seeking support as necessary
- Great communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
EXTRA AWESOME:
- Experience with architecturally expressive structures in a wide variety of building materials
- Background in CAD/CAM fabrication software
- Experience with Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper or other parametric modelling experience
- Experience with BIM360

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- Base Salary CAD $53,000 – $65,000 (will be commensurate with skillset and experience).

This position is office-based and subject to a Hybrid Work Policy (up to 2 days of remote work per week).
